Lynn Peel, founder of Beach Glass Transitions, llc, has been involved in the senior care industry spanning the last 12 years. Her work has been focused in admissions and marketing for Independent, Assisted, and Alzheimer’s Communities as well as home health care.

She is an active member of the Portland Area Coalition for Elder Services, Healthcare Networking of York County and the Southern Maine Agency on Aging’s Long Term Care Working Group.  Additionally, Lynn sits on the Family Advisory Board for the International Rett Syndrome Foundation.  She is a Top Gun 2011 Participant, sponsored by the Maine Center for Entrepreneurial Development.

During the 11 years that Lynn has been a part of the senior care industry, she has met and worked closely with countless families who are facing a huge challenge. The challenge is to ultimately find a suitable home for an aging parent. A common theme in all of these situations is that the process is confusing, it is emotional and it is incredibly time consuming.

Lynn believed that if families could have one point of contact, a trusted adviser that would not only lead them through this major transition but also relieve them of the stresses associated with the process, the service would be invaluable.

Lynn has combined her intimate knowledge of the senior care industry, experience working in these communities, and passion for assisting families to create Beach Glass Transitions.

Nova has a diverse background in Nursing, writing and business development. She was looking to combine these interests in a related field with a company whose mission she cared about. This brought her here to Beach Glass Transitions, llc in 2009.

Before joining Beach Glass Transitions, Nova’s experience in senior care was of a personal nature, as she was her elderly father’s primary caregiver through the end stages of his life. Knowing firsthand what it means to a family to go through this kind of experience, Nova is passionate about the supportive and educational services provided by Beach Glass Transitions.

Nova is the co-developer of Working Senior Care Solutions along with Lynn Peel and is a Top Gun 2011 Participant, sponsored by the Maine Center for Entrepreneurial Development.

Nova serves on the Advisory Committee of Navigating the Real World as a marketing consultant.  In her free time, She also teaches creative writing to adults, and is a US Coast Guard licensed sailboat Captain and Able Seaman.  She has sailed across both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans twice each!

Kathy is our New Hampshire area consultant.  She also works in Essex County in Massachusetts.

Prior to signing on with Beach Glass Transitions, Kathy worked at a retirement community in Exeter, NH.  She was primarily responsible for building relationships with potential new residents, and transitioning new residents into the community.  She worked with families to help them access and coordinate all of the helpful resources they needed to make the move.

Over the years Kathy found she had a passion for working with seniors.  This passion grew from a deep empathy for her clients, who felt the stress of transitioning into a new community.  She made it her goal to help mediate that stress as much as possible.  As a result of her caring approach, many of the relationships she formed with these families and seniors have developed into lasting friendships.  Kathy’s meaningful experiences in this role led her to pursue a position with Beach Glass Transitions.  We couldn’t be happier to have her on board!

Kathy is a member of the Seacoast Women’s Network, the Seacoast Senior Provider Network, and the Community Resource Network: Senior Services.

Kathy lives in the Seacoast area of New Hampshire.  She enjoys reading and traveling with her husband.  She volunteers for various community organizations, including the Alzheimer’s Cafe at the Children’s Museum of NH in Dover, NH.
